Chickens!

When I was growing up my Maw-Maw had chickens and she would let me feed them and gather the eggs. What a sweet memory that is to me. I would love to have my own chickens. There is just something about fresh eggs from your own chickens. And once you have had fresh eggs you will not go back to buying store bought eggs. If only I lived where I could have chickens because unfortunately my homeowners association does not allow them but I can dream and if I could, I would have this chicken coop. I came across this blog one day at Heather Bullard

Her husband made this for her.  What quality.
Blessings!!!

I have to add this.  I got an email from Kreg (tool company) and they had this picture of another chicken coop a lady built.

It is so cute!

Bird Bath

Last summer I went to Lowe's and bought a saucer to a pot. I know, I know, someone is gonna come along and buy the pot and not have the saucer. Oops! My bad! I was looking for a way to put out water for birds to drink and bathe but get it closer to us. I happen to have a smooth rock from when my husband and I went to the beach early spring for a day together! I wasn't sure if this would even work but I was hopeful. So I placed it on the railing of my deck.
And I waited.
and waited
and waited.
And lo and behold. One day while washing dishes, there they were. They were having a good ole time drinking, splashing and walking around the rock. I was overjoyed. I couldn't believe it. It worked!
At one point there was like four or five at one time!

Oh, by the way, my cat loves to drink the water from the dish. I guess he likes bird flavored water. LOL!

Catalog Living

This has got to be one of the funniest things I have seen in awhile.   It is a website about people living in the exciting world of catalogs. Who are they? Gary and Elaine from Anytown, USA. Actually created by Molly Erdan.  It is hilarious! http://catalogliving.net/
Following the throw pillow stampede, all that remained of Aunt Judy was her trademark purple hat.
Gary was unable to come to terms with the impractical realities of Elaine’s claim that “keeping plants in pots is so 2011.”

Kids! Dinner! Last one to the table gets the tetanus stool!

Check it out!

Decorative Shelf

How many Pindell's does it take to put up a decorative shelf?  Apparently, all five.  I bought this shelf months ago and it has been sitting on the floor in our kitchen since the day I brought it home.  But just this last Thursday night my husband decided it was time to hang it.  And he decided it would take all of us.  Can I just say I wish I had videoed it.  We laughed so much on trying to decide the best way to hang it, then fumbling with tools, stud finders, screws, and drills and "is it level?" Every time Dad or son got it level the other would let it drop down.   We spend every Sabbath together studying and resting and have a great day recognizing our Father as Creator but the week can get kind of busy.  So this was a nice break. It felt good to laugh and just enjoy each other.  We need more of that!

I would have loved to show the whole kitchen but there was dirty dishes all on the counter.

Blessings!!!

Creme Brulee

Brulee

Isn't he the cutest? This is our little Shih Tzu. He likes to sleep along this wall sometimes. He just laid there staring at me the whole time I was taking this picture. Oh, yeah the name. Well, when we first got him his color was a real burnt brown kinda like the top of creme brulee and my husband loves the dessert. So, wah la, the name Brulee (Brew Lee). I keep telling my husband that we should get a girl and name her Creme.

Look how tiney! Wasn't he adorable?

Puppies

Salt and Mosby!
Last Monday we went over to my sister's to see their new puppies.  They lost their dog Pepper to cancer not too long ago and just couldn't take the quiet house anymore.  Well, let's just say their house isn't quiet anymore.  Aren't they adorable?  They are brother and sister.  Salt, the white puppy, is a girl and she is so tiny.  Mosby, a boy, is tuff and squirmy. And they are not so much loud but,  these two puppies keep my sister, niece and brother-in-law quite busy.  It is like having babies.  Now, my daughter is talking like she wants her own dog.  Oh, No!

See how tiny she is!

Blessings!!!
